Active work with quality and environment
Beijer Electronics actively pursues
quality and environmental issues. The Swedish parent company’s quality
& environment management systems are certified according to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO
14001:2004.
Quality initiatives are one means of developing and rationalizing business.
We monitor our performance in factors such as delivery reliability, product
quality and customer satisfaction through sampling and surveys. Suggestions for
improvement on products and working methods from staff and customers also
provide an important impetus for driving quality efforts forward.
First and foremost, environmental initiatives are focused on the
environmental impact of products. Good knowledge of the environmental impact of
various substances is a prerequisite for finding new alternatives. Supplier
collaborations are another driver for our environmental efforts. During 2005 a
work was effectuated in collaboration with our suppliers in order to convert our
products to RoHS (2002/95/EG), an EU-directive which prohibits the use of e.g.
quicksilver, cadmium and lead in electronic and electrical products after the
1st of July 2006.
Quality & Environmental Policy
The level of quality in all our commitments
is our most important competitive means and will give us satisfied customers.
We always strive to deliver faultless, secure, functional, user-friendly and environmentally adapted
products and services at the right time, which fulfil expectations and
requirements.
We will have good knowledge about the environmental influence of our products
and services under their entire life cycle, and reduce it wherever possible. The
natural resources should be used considerately and efficiently in order to
decrease negative environmental influence. We should also encourage our
suppliers, partners and carriers to act in the same way.
The competence and commitment of all employees are a prerequisite for
achieving our goals. For that reason we offer our employees continuous training
and a safe and stimulating working environment. We initiate continuous
improvements by setting clear and measurable goals, both within quality as well
as interior and exterior environment. We will fulfil existing environmental
legislation but our ambition is to be one step ahead
